KLANG, SELANGOR, 25 SEPTEMBER 2026 – The Malaysia Arts and Cultural Heritage Trail Festival 2026 returns for its third year with a mission to empower Malaysian arts, culture, and heritage through a showcase of artistic performances, cultural activities, and exhibitions, alongside the participation of various government agencies and creative industry players. Held from 24 to 27 September 2026 at the Pandamaran Sports Complex in Klang, Selangor, the festival serves as a platform that brings together the community, artists, craft artisans, entrepreneurs, and various stakeholders in an event celebrating the diversity of Malaysian arts and culture.
OFFICIAL LAUNCH BY THE MOTAC SECRETARY-GENERAL
The highlight of the event is the official launch ceremony of the Malaysia Arts and Cultural Heritage Trail Festival 2026 on September 26, 2026, which will be officiated by YBhg. Dato’ Shaharuddin bin Abu Sohot, Secretary-General of the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture Malaysia (MOTAC).
The presence of the MOTAC Secretary-General to officiate the event underscores the commitment to strengthening community engagement in the arts, culture, and heritage sectors, while fostering collaboration among the government, industry players, and local communities.
The festival also brings together various relevant agencies and organizations, including Tourism Selangor, the Selangor State Department of Culture and Arts (JKKN), and Kraftangan Malaysia.
Also participating are entrepreneurs from the Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) craft sector, showcasing a wide range of local handicrafts and creative products.
This multi-stakeholder involvement offers visitors the opportunity not only to enjoy artistic performances but also to discover craft products, creative works, and the entrepreneurial potential rooted in arts and heritage.
A PLATFORM TO EMPOWER ARTS AND CULTURE
The Malaysia Arts and Cultural Heritage Trail Festival (Festival Jejak Seni Budaya Malaysia) serves as a platform bringing together various sectors of the arts and culture industry, including practitioners of dance, theatre, music, traditional performances, and creative arts, as well as craft entrepreneurs and event industry players.
Festival highlights include traditional and contemporary art performances, dance, music, and multicultural cultural showcases. A key attraction is the Reog Barongan performance, which introduces the unique nature of this traditional art form to the public and festival visitors.
In addition to stage performances, visitors have the opportunity to explore exhibition and sales areas featuring handicrafts and products from Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) entrepreneurs.
